Verdict

SPARE BRAKES might have won at Fairyhouse in January but for a last-fence fall then beat today's rival Conright Boy with a bit in hand over this course and distance. The runner-up is entitled to go close with a 6lb pull but Robert Tyner's charge can confirm the form. My Manekineko lost his maiden tag over fences at the 21st time of asking at Leopardstown but a 6lb rise makes this trickier while Theatre World hasn't shown enough in his three starts over fences to suggest he can trouble the selection. Une Lavandiere has been running poorly since an easy victory over hurdles in December and has changed stables.
