Verdict

Gordon Elliott has six of the 15 entries with BALL D'ARC likely to prove best of them. A winning point-to-pointer, he stormed to victory in a Thurles bumper last month and shouldn't be inconvenienced by the conditions. After completing a massive gamble with two winners at Tramore on Saturday, the bookies won't want to take on Charles Byrnes' Total Silence despite being well beaten in testing conditions on his debut at Cork last month. Moon Over Germany showed some potential in bumpers and made a promising start over timber at Thurles where he belied his long odds to finish third behind the smart Petit Mouchoir. He looks a threat while the very moderate Flat performer Mountain Kingdom produced a fine debut effort over timber at Fairyhouse and can only improve.
