Verdict

BLOW BY BLOW will be at prohibitive odds but the Grade 1 winning bumper should have few problems getting off the mark over timber despite two defeats at Fairyhouse, the latest by just a nose. He takes a big step-up in trip but his pedigree points to him being suited. As You Were was around 12l behind in that latter event but could get closer as that was his first start since easily winning a Thurles bumper in March. Shark Saurez won a heavy-ground point at Borris House though that was in March of last year but the newcomer Cote Tete, a half-brother to Sir Des Champs, is one to keep an eye on for the future.
