Verdict
Punitive won twice over hurdles here in the spring but was beaten a long way on his chasing debut at Punchestown. Fils D'oudairies scored over hurdles at Auteuil and was returning from a year off when falling at the second last on his chasing bow behind Colreevy on the latter track. He would have been placed in what looked a strong race and should go well if over his mishap. That winner is trained by Willie Mullins, who has YUKON LIL here. A smart bumper and hurdler, she made a very impressive debut over fences at Cork where the extended 2m would have been too short and she looks a cracking prospect. Braeside jumps and stays and loves the conditions so he won't go down without a fight and The Echo Boy put his experience to good use with a facile victory at Fairyhouse. Foxy Jacks made two bad mistakes in a Grade 2 at Punchestown and will need to do much better here.
