Verdict

Philip Fenton won this last year but Five Point Plan makes his handicap debut with a big weight and hasn't really shown much. Chance A Grand has shown even less over timber but arrives in winning form after scoring between the flags in October. DAY DREAM BOY started at huge prices in his opening runs and never got involved but ran much better on his handicap debut at Fairyhouse in October. He was staying on strongly at the end of that 2m4f event so today's trip looks ideal and he can record his first success. Mollys Captain will attract support after a good run behind the in-form Speed Dial at Wexford but that was over the minimum trip and he's yet to win a race of any description. Kilnafrehanstar looked to be making progress before a poor effort when favourite at Clonmel though the quicker ground may have been responsible.
