In depth

Verdict

DOONARD PRINCE is a three-times winner around here and made a very encouraging reappearance over 6f at Naas. The more rain the better and Mikey Sheehey's claim is a bonus. Blastofmagic beat Ticks The Boxes a short-head on fast going here a couple of weeks ago with Athas An Bhean almost 3 lengths back in third and subsequent winner Plough Boy in fifth. The winner didn't appreciate softer ground at Tipperary on Friday when Sestriere was a very close third. The latter has never won and had earlier finished runner-up to Boughtinthedark, who has gone up a massive 16lb for that victory. Early Call has won twice around here though looks a few pounds high at present.
