MIN was spoken of as a potential champion from the day he arrived from France and looked just that on his opening two runs over timber. He couldn't cope with Altior in the Supreme Novices' Hurdle at Cheltenham but, though not particularly bred for chasing, there will be some long faces if he can't win this. Edwulf could give him plenty to think about if staying on his feet. Joseph O'Brien's charge would have made a winning start over fences on this track last December but for a last-fence fall then beat the useful Haymount over hurdles at Naas before coming to grief again in a Grade 2 novice hurdle at Thurles. Fire In Soul has a cracking pedigree for chasing and could hardly have been more impressive over hurdles at Ballinrobe in May while there's no reason why the likes of Squouateur and Three Wise Men won't make decent chasers in time.
