In depth

Verdict

Joseph O'Brien has three entries with Calorific likely to prove the best of them after being headed right on the line by today's rival Nikeandnemesis at Naas. The winner would have been an unlucky loser as he didn't get the best of runs and can confirm the form despite being 4lb worse off. However, GOLD JASMINE, who was having her first start for Ken Condon having been bought out of a Tipperary claimer, finished third having had no sort of run and with the weights in her favour can reverse the places and take this. Whitsunday Islands has done enough in three maidens to suggest a nursery would be within his capabilities though he looks a bit high in the ratings on what he's achieved.
