        In depth

        Verdict

Kyper Disco has become rather frustrating and while clearly having ability is impossible to recommend with any confidence so the vote goes to Kilgowan, who is preferred to How Great Thou Art. The selection showed improved form when landing the fixed brush final at Haydock last week and is fancied to follow up under a 7lb penalty. How Great Thou Art has an obvious chance on the evidence of his last two starts but the handicapper has raised him another 2lbs which seems a shade harsh. Tomina is less exposed than most and has to be respected, while Jonathan Geake's Breezer is 6lbs higher than when scoring in a Taunton seller last time and this looks tougher. Harley receives weight all round and cannot be discounted but Kilgowan won well at Haydock last weekend and is taken to follow up.
