Verdict

SULA TWO is open to a bit more improvement and gets the nomination ahead of Laconicos and Dashing Doc. The Starboard Bow is also worth keeping tabs on, as he posted an encouraging effort at Doncaster last month; which was his best showing for quite some time. Consistency is obviously not his forte but that effort on Town Moor tells that he is capable of getting into the argument when he puts his mind to the task in hand. Dashing Doc also found it difficult to string a sequence together after he won a Newmarket maiden last summer. There have been more encouraging signs of late, so he's no lost cause, while Laconicos is yet to win from 21 starts on the Flat (11 of which have been on the all-weather). He has made the frame on numerous occasions, though; which will give his connections some hopes for a big run. However, Sula Two is starting to get the hang of things these days and, as she is open to any amount of improvement now that he tries this new trip, the Ron Hodges-trained filly makes the most appeal for a small investment here.
