Verdict

After winning a maiden point by 25 lengths and landing a Doncaster bumper, BLACK OP started favourite for a Grade 2 at Aintree in April but probably saw too much daylight and had nothing left in the closing stages. He’s held in high regard and is the type to run up a sequence in novice hurdles. Lostintranslation has been unlucky to come up against useful novices in his two runs this season and will make a bold bid to go one better. Kapcorse is a likely improver while World Premier and Simply The Betts both won bumpers on their racecourse debuts so can’t be ignored.
