Verdict

The Big Bite is hard to catch right but did win a Grade 3 over the course and distance in the spring whereas Frero Banbou has done all of his winning so far over shorter trips. Sail Away doesn’t stand much racing but signed off the last campaign with a victory at Ayr and has had a wind operation since. Red Rookie’s run at Ascot wasn’t his form and the longer trip here will play to his strengths and Karl Philippe was in good form around this time last year. KANDOO KID (NAP), only beaten a neck over track and trip earlier this month, is improving with experience and can overcome a 6lb rise with Iron Bridge beaten off lower marks twice at the start of the year.
