Verdict
A really tough one to call and not too many can confidently be ruled out. Therefore, Cigarillo is only a marginal preference to She's Our Native, Flower Of Pitcur and Rohan, who are fancied to make up the main body of the opposition. However, Cigarillo, who put in a good effort over course and distance earlier in the season, has shaped up well since he made the switch to hurdling after just three outings in bumpers earlier in his career. The fact that Noel Chance has been very patient with the six-year-old underlines how highly he regards this six-year-old and it will be no surprise to see Cigarillo start to pay-off some of the bills he has amassed from a light career to date. She's Our Native is an obvious danger and has to be respected after her trainer's double at Taunton yesterday. However, this daughter of Be My Native has not really lived up to her billing as yet and does not look to be one to be relying on too heavily if this develops in to a scrap for the line. Hobbs' charge is a prime candidate for finding at least one too good if she repeats her running from Hereford last month and is taken on with Cigarillo today. Flower Of Pitcur is another to consider but has a little to prove regarding the trip so is probably best watched this afternoon.
