Verdict
Showpiece won comfortably at Salisbury last month and the form was given a boost when the runner-up scored at Sandown ealier in the week. Comparitively lightly raced, the Willie Haggas-trained four-year-old is open to further improvement and can offset a 5lb rise. Useful winning hurdler, Cupboard Lover, took a low-grade event here last week but this is tougher under a 6lb penalty so in-form Aker Wood and the reappearing Anikitos rate as bigger dangers.
