In depth
Verdict
Quid Pro Quo just scraped home on his hurdles debut, but is expected to follow up here at the expense of Bob Bob Bobbin and Lord Oscar. Quid Pro Quo was a decent bumper horse last season and was fully expected to slaughter some modest rivals on his hurdling bow. However his jumping was a bit sketchy and in the end he just held on to beat Proud Peer. He should come on for that effort and has a similar class of opponents here. Bob Bob Bobbin looks the main threat to the selection, he landed a decent bumper at Chepstow before finishing second in a listed bumper at Cheltenham. No doubt he will have been well schooled and he looks certain to be in the shake up. Lord Oscar finished a promising third in a Hereford bumper on his debut and should go close for his powerful yard. Not a race to get too involved in but Quid Pro Quo could be the answer.
