Verdict

Tobefair has risen 53lb in the weights since his winning run began in the summer of 2015. He owes connections nothing but the handicapper will inevitably take his measure before long and he only beat SCOTCHTOWN, now 3lb better off, a length-and-a-half last time at Warwick. Nigel Twiston-Davies’ stayer can have his revenge today and get his head back in front as he is also at the top of his game. Bryden Boy is another arriving in excellent form but he’s been raised 10lb for his latest win at Ayr and Rolling Maul may be a bigger danger if allowed his own way out in front. Red Hanrahan is making a belated reappearance but it would be no surprise if he finished ahead of stablemate Lac Fontana and the others.
