In depth

Verdict

The Oasis Dream filly Sweet Dragon Fly made a very promising start at Wolverhampton and has plenty of scope but only four started when Emerald Loch was second at Leicester, though he showed he handles plenty of give. Mamillius only found one good over 6f at Windsor last season but Gunmetal will be qualified for handicaps after this. CHESS MASTER (NAP) cost 1.7million guineas as a yearling and is a half-brother to three very useful performers including Sun Chariot winner Halfway To Heaven. He was an eye-catcher over this trip at Leicester in September and should develop into a decent miler this term. Edward Lewis, Rattle On and Royal Hero are newcomers to note.
