Verdict

Independent Act and Thunder Max are closely matched on their run together at Newmarket but the former may have more scope and wears headgear for the first time here. VICTORY showed he had trained on when just failing to overhaul the aggressively-ridden Wootton’Sun over 1m2f at Doncaster. On that evidence, the extra furlong here will suit him admirably. March Moon won over 1m4f at Lingfield but he has proved best on artificial surfaces so far.
