In depth

Verdict

Preening is penalised for winning a Listed race on the all-weather at Deauville in December but had earlier finished ahead of both Foxtrot Lady and Farzeen when runner-up in the Sceptre Stakes at Doncaster. But MISS CELESTIAL has the edge at the weights and a recent run at Haydock under her belt. Placed four times at this level last year with a second at Ascot her best effort, Sir Mark Prescott’s filly may prove the one to side with today. Sunday Star has something to find with the selection while Viva Gloria finished a length behind Foxtrot Lady at Kempton earlier this month. Mubtasimah won a handicap last year and is upped in class along with dual novice winner Dancing Feet.
