    Verdict

Limelite produced a much improved performance on fast going at Lingfield and wouldn't need much more despite a big weight. Golden Guest is reasonably consistent at this level but another furlong wouldn't go amiss while Pyjamarama dropped down a grade to finish runner-up at Wolverhampton. Fair Selene ran well enough in a first-time visor at Brighton though that was also in a Class 6 event as was Lawfilly's run there on Monday so the vote goes to HERM. David Evans' charge was racing in better company last season and will be better for his reappearance over a trip too short at Windsor last month.
