Verdict
LOVE AND DEVOTION can be expected to improve from her debut and is the tentative selection. Pin Cushion should also leave her debut form behind whilst there are several newcomers to consider. Love And Devotion shaped pleasingly at Windsor in what appeared to be a fair race and should be wiser now. The yard has a strong hand in this division this season and there's enough speed in her pedigree to think that she'll be effective at this trip. Cheveley Park entry Pin Cushion was two places behind her at Windsor and ran a similar race; it doesn't take much imagination to envisage her playing a more prominent role as well. Richard Hannon runs two and both are respected with the yard sending out the winner two years ago. Mick Channon and Barry Hills saddled the winners either side of that and Texas Queen and Za Za Zoom both make appeal on paper with the latter the only other runner in the field with a Group race entry. In light of that, support for her would be worth noting but preference is for Love And Devotion.
