      Verdict

      STRAWBERRY BELLE ran an excellent race in a valuable auction stakes at Newmarket last month and she could be well treated in her first handicap, though steps up a furlong. Surely Not has only gone up a pound for finishing a close-up third at Goodwood while Metahorse won at Chester and Thirsk in July but Haughty was last of three at Doncaster. The Parent won at Goodwood three weeks ago but the form has yet to be franked and Dream Of Mischief probably requires improvement.
