Verdict

Colour Squadron got the better of MONTBAZON over C&D in December and has since run Captain Conan to a short-head in the Grade 1 Tolworth Hurdle at Sandown. Alan King's five-year-old was making his debut over hurdles that day, however, and will know more today. He hardly came off the bridle when scoring at Plumpton subsequently and looks a smart performer in the making. All The Aces was a decent performer on the Flat and got off the mark over timber at the second time of asking over C&D on New Year's Eve. He is also capable of improvement while Vulcanite was a very easy winner at Southwell following a solid debut second at Kempton, though holds an alternative engagement at Sandown today. Royal Commission was fair second at Lingfield last month but this looks a much stronger heat.
