Verdict

Solid Stone beat subsequent winner Stormy Antarctic before placing in the Wolferton at Ascot when ahead of Blue Cup, Felix and Fox Tal. He’s just preferred to Real World, who returns to today’s longer trip having won the Royal Hunt Cup at Ascot in good style on his first start on Turf. A couple of there were set difficult tasks last time with the maiden winner Movin Time a decent fifth in Group 3 company at Ascot and novice winner DERAB competing in the French Derby. The Gosden colt wasn’t disgraced in the testing ground at Chantilly and gets another chance at this lower level as we haven’t seen the best of him yet.
