In depth

Verdict

Saeed Bin Suroor's Campanologist has won Group 1 races in Germany in his last two outings and he has every chance in this Group 3 race today but does have a 7lb penalty to carry for those Group 1 successes and he may struggle to give weight away to RAINBOW PEAK. The Michael Jarvis-trained gelding has shown progressive form this term, winning the Wolverton Handicap at Ascot prior to finding Saeed Bin Suroor's Rio De La Plata just a quarter of a length too good at York in this grade last month. Godolphin obviously have a good from line through to Rainbow Peak but the improving gelding can go one better. Luca Cumani's Bauer is probably best watched after his latest start and of more interest may be Michael Bell's Monitor Closely.
