Verdict

Tis Marvellous came right back to form when winning the Beverley Bullet for the second time last month and he was only beaten a length when third in this last year. Mountain Peak will appreciate competing on level terms as he has been carrying big weights in competitive handicaps. He has only a length-and-a-half to find with Look Out Louis on Haydock running and is 10lb better off. The latter will also struggle to confirm Chester form in July with Manaccan, who has improved since and won the Listed Scarbrough Stakes at Doncaster last week. CHIL CHIL rarely runs over a trip this short but was fifth in last year’s Nunthorpe so it’s not a great concern. She won in this grade at Newcastle last season and her efforts this term suggests she’s retained much of her ability. Mitbaahy also has a chance on a couple of runs at Sandown this year.
