Verdict

A cracking renewal but Le Brivido has had his problems and is racing over a mile for the first time since just beaten in the French 2000 Guineas in 2017. LAURENS was mugged by Billesdon Brook in last year’s 1000 Guineas and has only won against her own sex so far. However, she hated the soft ground when well beaten at Ascot in the autumn and has won five times at the highest level. If she is at her best on her reappearance, Karl Burke’s stable star can enhance the fillies’ impressive strike-rate in this Group 1. Beat The Bank won Group 2 races at Ascot and Goodwood last year and got the better of a race-fit Sharja Bridge on his reappearance. David O’Meara’s grey Lord Glitters has developed into a tough miler and finished ahead of Without Parole in the Dubai Turf while Mythical Magic improved at Meydan at the start of the year, though has plenty on his plate in this. Accidental Agent’s win in the Queen Anne last year may have been a fluke and the trip could catch out Sir Dancealot as there will be plenty of pace.
