    Verdict

Last year’s winner arrived fresh from winning the Listed Glasgow Stakes at Hamilton and Raymond Tusk was successful in the latter contest last month. He takes on older horses today including Hamada, unbeaten in three handicaps so far this year and preferred to stablemate Walton Street. Dal Harraild was narrowly beaten in a Group 3 over today’s trip at York in between modest efforts over 2m and is not out of this but ALGOMETER is just preferred. David Simcock’s charge has improved with every outing this year culminating in a fine effort behind Marmelo in a Group 2 contest over 1m6f at Longchamp last month and a repeat of that form should see him bang there at the finish once again.
