    Verdict

There is very little form for backers to go on here as only five of the 15 runners have raced previously with the best form having seemingly been shown by Brian Meehan's Marden, who ran a decent fourth of 15 on soft ground in a Newmarket maiden last month but he is not certain to appreciate the faster going today. Richard Hannon's Ceffyl Gwell should come on for his debut effort at Windsor last month but he needs to and preference is for stable companion NOVEL DANCER, who can make a winning debut. The son of Dansili is bred to be useful and represents a stable that can do little wrong this term. John Dunlop's pair Abbakhan and Maraheb, the William Haggas-trained Fury and Paul Cole's No Heretic are other newcomers worthy of monitoring if the market speaks in their favour but Novel Dancer gets the vote.
