Verdict

Having raced prominently throughout, Mr Tyrrell kept on well for third at Ascot but really needs a faster surface and was behind Spanish Star and Firepower here earlier. Patrick Chamings’ runner didn’t have much luck at Sandown next time and finished behind Ivatheengine but the latter has since won at Epsom. Dulas has disappointed lately but Paxos remains unexposed on Turf and makes more appeal than Tom Collins. IL BANDITO (NAP) gets cheekpieces in an attempt to end a frustrating sequence and William Buick is back on board for the first time since the son of Acclamation won at Haydock in May.
