Verdict

MERITOCRACY makes a quick reappearance having shown plenty of pace to finish third over 5f at Kempton last Saturday. He beat Vodka Time on that occasion and given the latter scored at Newmarket during the week, the form looks pretty solid. Paul Cole's colt may be worth sticking with against a field of newcomers led by Steventon Star, a half-brother to smart winning sprinter Prince Tamino. Neighbother also sports a speedy pedigree but the likes of Jazz and Justice Day may do better over longer trips later in the year. Party Ruler and The Smart One are others to note for any significant support in the betting.
