Verdict

Desert Deer has had more than his share of injuries and may not fulfill his trainer's high expectations at the top level but should be too classy for his rivals and earns the TEAMtalk vote. The four-year-old has run consistently well in better company of late and will prove hard to peg back in this small field. Common World is a progressive type but prefers more cut in the ground and looks worth opposing at likely cramped odds while Bragadino has made little impact this term and Putra Pekan needs to improve.
