Verdict
The Gosdens’ yard has a fine record in this and Astrodome is fitted with headgear after finishing third in the testing going at Doncaster. Frankie takes over the reins today and his mount is preferred to stablemate Port Jackson. Banderas failed to land the odds at Southwell on his reappearance and Yellow Star never figured here on his debut though the latter’s stable companion Talisman is in the Derby. But another newcomer takes the eye in KLONDIKE as the Haggas colt cost 600,000gns as a half-brother to a couple of Group 3 winners. Owned by a partnership of Coolmore and Luca Cumani’s Fittocks Stud, he may prove good enough.
