In depth

Verdict

A trappy event where the redoubtable Lincoln Rocks sets a stiff standard for the rest to aim at. There was little fluke about her victory in Listed company at Pontefract and she’s sure to give another good account. SANTE romped home in a maiden at Chepstow and was rewarded with a punitive 15lb rise by the assessor. She’s justified that by finishing close up on her next two outings and with the handicapper entitled to have allocated more weight for those runs, we’ll take her to open her account in handicaps. Soul Silver has shaped as if needing the mile and she is likely to have come on for her reappearance at Sandown. She'll need to reverse form with Pavillon though Clive Cox's filly did have the benefit of match fitness. Zest has come to hand at this time of the year previously and after cutting little ice in better company, she is tried in a visor for the first time.
