Verdict
STORM GODDESS (NAP) was quietly fancied for last week’s Pertemps Final at Cheltenham but was an early casualty. A winner at Kempton in November, she can recoup losses here with a clear round. Supremely Lucky was runner-up to Corrany, who runs in the previous race, over fences at Huntingdon last time but did win over hurdles at Warwick before that. The once-useful Jarveys Plate was runner-up in a bumper last month but seems better over shorter trips while Aaron Lad will do well to win a race like this following a lengthy absence. Howling Milan and Haul Away have both become disappointing.
