      Verdict

KHIONE just got her head in front to win her maiden at Nottingham earlier this month. The runner-up has subsequently won and, given the third horse was a further 10 lengths behind, the form looks solid enough. Luca Cumani's filly is preferred to another winning debutante in Goodwood scorer Selfsame while Varnish will have step up on her comeback victory at Salisbury. Shestheman was a disappointing favourite at the same track last time when third-placed Dutch Diamond finished a length ahead but Amber Silk may be capable of better still having won on her handicap debut at Goodwood in May.
