Verdict
Amplify went close over 5f at Ascot on his debut but never figured in a Group 2 in France last time. Monsieur Noir improved to take second over 7f at Salisbury and Lyndon B showed promise when runner-up over 6f at Yarmouth on his recent debut. But PHOSPHOR finished clear of the rest when just failing to catch the winner over 7f here last month and it’s Martyn Meade’s colt that gets the vote to come out best. William Haggas-trained horses have beaten a couple of the above and the latter runs the newcomer and 100,000gns purchase Montatham while Glorious Emaraty, Doubly Beautiful and Agent Basterfield are others to note.
