Verdict

A tough finale and narrow preference is for OSCAR WHISKEY over Eight Palms and Rock On Ruby. Nicky Henderson's runners in a bumper always have to be respected and Oscar Whiskey is sure to be popular with punters. He won on his debut here in March in impressive fashion and although he has more on his plate today, there should be more in the locker. Eight Palms won on his debut at Stratford before being outclassed at Aintree back in April. This is a much more realistic target and he looks sure to get competitive. His stablemate Rock On Ruby is one to note in the market on his debut, while Midnight Prayer and Penylan Star are others newcomers that could be capable of troubling the judge. There is not much public form to go on but Oscar Whiskey sets a decent standard and gets the pick.
