In depth

Verdict

Dragon Eye, Ballydub, Orchard King and Prince du Beury are the quartet to concentrate on here and the vote is given to Dragon Eye. The selection has got some rock solid bumper form and he made a pleasing introduction over hurdles when finishing second behind Galient at Fontwell. He will go on the ground and he looks the one to beat. Ballydub looks a nice prospect and he won a maiden point-to-point before finishing a decent second behind Alderluck in a bumper last time. He makes his hurdles debut today and he can go well, but this is a good race and he will do well to win it first time up over hurdles. Orchard King has gone close several times but he is best on a faster surface and the ground looks to be against him today. Prince du Beury ran well in second behind Hibiki at Ludlow last time and this step-up in trip should suit so he is another to enter calculations. Noel Chance thinks a bit about Commander Kev and he probably needed the run last time out. Dragon Eye could be the answer to this tricky contest and he is taken to lead them home.
