Verdict

Much has been made of the low-key form of the Saeed Bin Suroor yard but there have been signs of a revival recently and they have always been traditionally stronger in the second half of the season. YAA WAYL turns up here having not been seen since Meydan in the early part of the year but he's useful at his best and these are his optimum conditions. He can outclass this field, of which Retainer is of most interest. The unbeaten but lightly-raced sort made heavy weather of scoring at Leicester in early spring and should improve considerably but he's hard to assess on the available evidence and is unproven at this trip. Angel's Pursuit looks the Hannon second string while King of Dixie is struggling for form and Mia's Boy is likely to need this.
