War Department just got the better of Gun Case when scoring over track and trip last week but is penalised today and the latter had won here earlier. Both Naples Bay and Curly Girl won over 7f at Ayr during the summer and the former has gone close again at the same track subsequently while Art Echo won at Wolverhampton in July and has an apprentice’s allowance in his favour today. TUKHOOM (NAP) never figured in a higher grade last time when dropped back to 6f. But was beaten only a neck over today’s distance at Doncaster on his penultimate start and gets the nod on that form.
