        Verdict

        This looks just an average race and one in which RAFAAN is selected ahead of Decorum and Ruler Of All. This is Rafaan's third start and he has shown promise in both starts to date. He signed off last year with a run at Yarmouth and this well-related gelding is expected to appreciate the longer trip today. Ruler Of All hardly impressed on his debut at Newmarket where he was beaten twelve lengths behind Redwood but the form has been franked since and this son of Saddler's Wells will be more at home over this distance. Those to have gained an official rating make about as much appeal as walking over hot coals with the exception of Decorum. John Gosden's three-year-old son of Dynamformer is not an obvious one for this trip as although his sire was a winner over this trip the majority of his siblings have been sprinters. He has a mark of 76 but that probably looks a tad high. This looks a three-horse-race really and preference is for Rafaan.
