Verdict

Kalahari Desert finished ahead of Patch Patch last time and the pair should go well but BRONZE BEAU may prove too quick for them both. James Sullivan's mount is in rude health and has speed in abundance, so this small field suits his style. On identical terms as when they met at Doncaster he holds Sharp Eclipse by a couple of lengths and Bossy Kitty by even further, and the fact that the latter tries a visor for the first time isn't expected to bring about a reversal of the form. With that in mind Bronze Beau may have most to fear from Kalahari Desert, providing he isn't outpaced as he was when staying on for third at Carlisle recently having been supported in the market. Patch Patch disappointed in behind that day but had previously been going along well so it wouldn't entirely surprise were he to reverse that particular line of form now reunited with Philip Makin. Arch Walker got off the mark at the fifth time of asking at Redcar but he'll need to improve again to win this tougher race of 5lbs higher, so we'll return to Bronze Beau who has at least half of these covered if repeating his recent solid efforts.
