Verdict

Hi Dancer is only 1lb higher than when scoring at Sedgefield last March and though he's been inconsistent during the winter he looks quite capable of a big run. CAVITE ETA showed his first sign of ability behind today's rival Ginger Grey in a Catterick maiden in December and makes his handicap bow. He stayed on strongly that day and, with this stiffer track certain to suit, he gets the nod to go one better. The winner ran a shocker when fancied to follow up at Market Rasen but that wasn't his true form. King's Chorister won here in December and very nearly pulled off another C&D victory a month later when just touched off by Dice. The runner-up has much the better of the weights this time and should reverse the form while Hunters Belt has been running quite well on the Flat recently.
