        Verdict

        Superior Weapon should be able to confirm form here with Lauderdale, while Jericho III can also make a bold showing. The selection is 1lb better off with Lauderdale, having beaten that rival here over course and distance by two lengths here last time. The slower ground is a bit of a concern, and should help Lauderdale more than the selection, but Superior Weapon's jumping won him the day last time and that can stand him in good stead again. Jericho III comes from the in-form Richard Guest yard and has handled this going well in the past. He will need every yard of the trip to be at his best and the form of his second to Polyphon last time was not done any favours on Saturday, so he is just opposed. Double Blade would come into calculations on better ground but cut is not in his favour and we take Superior Weapon to outgun his rivals.
