    In depth

CORVAIR (NAP) led for most of the way over 7f at Chelmsford on his debut before the potentially useful winner burst clear. This shorter trip will suit on that evidence and Simon Crisford’s charge is preferred to Lexington Dash. The latter also showed ability on his introduction over 6f at Lingfield and that looks stronger form than Where's Mick’s second over a longer trip here last time. Tomorrow's Dream is a half-sister to a couple of winners and the Haggas filly is worth noting along with fellow newcomer Splendidly.

Alioski 14-1 (9-3) Mid-division, soon pushed along, never on terms, 8th of 11, 11 1/4l behind Auchterarder (9-5) at Wolverhampton 5f stks (5) pol in Nov.

Castashadow 200-1 (9-5) Held up in rear, headway over 2f out, no impression over 1f out, 9th of 10, 21 1/4l behind Tsar (9-5) at Newcastle 1m stks (5) pol in Oct.

Corvair (IRE) 5-2 (9-5) Edged right start, led, headed well over 1f out, not pace of winner, 2nd of 12, 8l behind The Perfect Crown (9-5) at Chelmsford City 7f stks (5) pol in Nov.

Full Speight (USA) Speightstown gelding out of Athenian.

Indian Road (IRE) 14-1 (9-5) With leader, ridden over 1f out, lost place inside final furlong, weakened final 100 yards, 9th of 13, 7 1/2l behind King Ragnar (9-5) at Newcastle 6f stks (5) pol in Nov.

Lexington Dash (FR) 7-1 (9-5) Always close up, pushed along and chased winner 2f out, kept on towards finish, 2nd of 11, 1 1/4l behind Dancin Inthestreet (9-0) at Lingfield 6f stks (5) pol in Nov.
