In depth

Verdict

Paris Magic ran well enough in a handicap at Doncaster last time but returned a beaten favourite in a course and distance maiden before that. Statuesque has had plenty of chances and was placed yet again when second over 1m2f here while HENRY CROFT went close at Newbury when last seen at the track in August. He gets the vote with George Downing’s claim perhaps giving him the edge. Palindrome and Psychology look up against it.
