        Verdict

        After a promising debut at Leicester, STORMY OCEAN ran well behind smart stable companion Noble Truth at Newmarket in July and the son of Frankel, who cost 480,000gns as a yearling, can get off the mark. Grand Alliance will improve from his Wolverhampton debut though National Charter is probably more of a threat having caught the eye when staying on over 7f at Lingfield last month. The selection's stablemate Blue Trail is by Teofilo out of a 6f/7f winner while Chrysos cost a massive £315,000 at the Breeze-up at Doncaster in May.
