In depth
Verdict
Santiago Atitlan may be well-handicapped but he has stamina for this trip to prove and so it is the confirmed stayer ROSKO who is marginally preferred to Reel Buddy Star and Dechiper. The last-named could be interesting, especially if the market agrees, as he has been ridden by amateur riders on his last two runs and his early season form looks solid. However we prefer Rosko, who ran well enough behind Mozayada at Thirsk to suggest that he can feature off this new mark of 70. Ideally he would like some rain, so if it stays dry then quick-ground winner Pacific Pride could feature as he is starting to edge (very slowly) down the weights although again he has stamina to prove. Mesbaah is better than his run last time, Intersky Charm seems to prefer a stiffer track, whilst Ninth House is holding his form well on all surfaces. Reel Buddy Star, a course winner, is likely to be on the premises, but it is Rosko who is marginally preferred.
