King Of The South landed this race last year as the first leg of a hat-trick and another bold bid is expected. Alright Sunshine could only manage fifth in this last year but won at Ripon in July while Dark Jedi recorded last month’s Doncaster success over a longer trip on heavy ground. JACK DARCY has yet to race in a handicap or on the all-weather but was placed in Listed company during the summer and the three-year-old may well be up to winning this with an apprentice’s allowance further helping his cause.
